It takes a village, or in the case of this jaded silver fox, he needs a wife to save one. “I need you to marry me.” Jane Fox My boss cannot be serious. The ridiculously handsome man I hate-to-crush on has just proposed I pretend to be his wife for a funeral. A funeral! Only, when he dangles a much-coveted position in exchange for my time, I can’t refuse. Who am I kidding, though? I seem to have a habit of not saying no to Mr. Wright. Machlan Wright Things spiral out of control the second we reach my small town. A place I swore I’d never return has suddenly become my inheritance. As in, I’ve inherited an entire town! Only, there’s one condition: my hot, top executive pretending to be my wife must marry me for real. What could possibly go wrong? (insert sarcasm) +++ Join Jane and Mach as they road trip to a lovely mountain town where memories haunt and relationships build. And it takes (the restoration of) a village for this marriage of convenience to question the past and change the future. L.B. Dunbar brings you a second standalone in Road Trips & Romance. **Note, the Fox sisters are siblings of Garrett Fox from Wine&Dine, an original #sexysilverfox. 4 Heart Review by Ashley This road trip romance from L.B. Dunbar is just what I needed (and I'm not just talking about the playlist). From the very beginning it was full of wit and sarcasm and I knew my heart was going to hit a few potholes along the way. I liked that there was already a relationship between Jane and Mach, albeit a professional one, when Merging Wright started. While Jane was confident and classy with a bit of a wild streak hidden deep down, Mach came off as a bit childish and aloof. For as put together as they both were at work, their personal lives were a mess. Until the opportunity of their lifetime presented itself. I loved seeing Jane shine as she took the reins of the project that fell into her lap. But more than that I loved witnessing them see each other in a new light and finding comfort in one another. If only Mach would get over his anger and hurt maybe they could have a chance... What started as necessity quickly changed as they found new purpose in Wrightwood and each another. Jane and Mach's marriage of convenience was sexy and moving and also had a hint of mystery thrown into the mix. Fingers crossed we get to revisit this town again because Myles needs his story told! About the Author I’ve been accused of having an over-active imagination. To my benefit, this imagination has created over twenty novels, including the creation of a small-town world (Sensations Collection), rock star mayhem (Legendary Rock Star series), MMA chaos (Paradise Stories), rom-com for the over forty (The Sex Education of M.E.), and a suspenseful island for redemption (The Island Duet). My alter ego, elda lore, creates magical romance through mythological retellings (Modern Descendants). My life revolves around a deep love of reading about fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and strong alpha males. I love a deep belly laugh, a strong hug, and an occasional margarita. My other loves include being mother to four grown children and wife to the one and only.
