It starts with a bang. As in me and Hadley, the maid of honor, during my brother’s wedding reception. Sure, it was amazing, but I’m a one-and-done kind of guy. After spending years of my life getting screwed over by managers and agents with the Ryder Brothers, I no longer like to commit. I don’t even play music anymore. The secret that I haven’t told anyone- is that I can’t. A chance to raise money for my best friend’s nonprofit to help child stars means it’s time to deal with my block. Hiring Hadley seems like the obvious solution. She wants inside my head (not happening). I want to bang her again (she says she can’t sleep with clients). Between my baggage and her professionalism, can my problem even be fixed? Or will we both end up just wanting more? 4 Star Review by Ashley Not sure how this happened but....More is my very first book from JD Hawkins. Crazy, I know but there you have it. It was sexy and a hair scandalous and I enjoyed every deliciously dirty word.
Despite he aversion to relationships and the block he had when it came to preforming, there was something quite charming about Jonas. He had a good heart underneath all that brashness and Hadley saw it from the start. Hadley could see the side of him that wanted to let it go. I liked how patient and kind she was without being a pushover. Her unconventional methods worked to start to break him out of his funk. And holy hotness- the more time these two spent together, the brighter they burned. Hence the slightly forbidden part of the story. They both knew what was at stake for Hadley and went for it anyway. Until the dreaded feelings got involved and she had to take a stand. I let out a silent cheer for her because it was exactly the kick in the pants Jonas needed to get his act together. I will say that without reading the other books in the series, there were a few mentions of things that had me confused but not enough to pull me out of Jonas and Hadley's story. And I will for sure be going back to get all the scoop on Nick and Jake. From start to finish, More was fun and steamy and all about self growth. And when all was said and done, I wanted so much more of these wonderfully flawed characters.
