My daddy warned me never to fall for a boy like Jace Jacobs . . .

The second I saw him walk through the door, I knew he was trouble.
A gorgeous rebel with a bad attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder.
My heart warned me. I didn’t listen. I saw something protective and good beneath the fierce, tough exterior.
I fell hard and fast.
He promised we’d be together forever, and then left me with a broken heart.
Now, ten years later, Jace Jacobs is standing at my door.
Sexier than he’s ever been.
Provocative and commanding.
Successful and powerful.
The man I always knew he would become.
But I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again.
Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees.
Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.
Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . . .

More of You – a Confessions of the Heart second-chance, stand-alone romance

4 Star Review by Ashley

The first thing that I thought when I started reading More of You is 'this is different for A.L. Jackson'. But the more I read, the more invested I got the more it just flowed like Jackson's stories do. I knew from the start that my heart was going to be aching. But there were moments of laughter, joy and beauty in this suspenseful second-chance romance too.

Goodness I loved Faith. Her tenacity. Her fear. Her kindness. Her light. Her tender heart. Her grace. Her sorrow. Her dreams. She had been let down by love and life but wouldn't stop moving forward. She had to if only for her daughter's sake. But when the unknown threats start coming in, more than unease moves into town. Jace Jacobs, the boy who broke her heart is back. And this time he's not letting go.

Can you say slow burn? It took a lot of work on Jace's part, but he oh so slowly broke down the walls that Faith had erected around her heart to keep him out. It wasn't the big gestures either. It was the small moments that found her defenses crumbling. But the secrets of Jace's past, of what really kept him away, had to come out eventually...

Deception. Betrayal. Lies. Sacrifice. It all came pouring out in a way that had me breathless and trying to read faster than my eyes would allow. That final twist in the story had me shaking my head in disbelief. I was completely blindsided- as was everyone else.

That ending- ahhh- A.L. Jackson gave my aching heart the flutters. Stubborn as he was, Jace's unconditional and unwavering love for Faith is what dreams are made of. And I'm so glad he finally learned that he deserved to be able to live his out.

4.5 Star Review by Lorena

I absolutely love anything A.L. Jackson writes, her books are always full of life, they always suck you in from beginning to end.

I was completely intrigued with these characters and just the whole thrill of reading something suspenseful had me completely engrossed in the story line.

Faith has suffered enough in her life, she dealt with a broken heart when Jace left her with broken promises.  She then suffers tragedy in her life years later and Jace comes back to try and protect her from whatever it is that is threatening her and her daughter.  Faith is remorseful and doesn't want Jace's help, but he refuses to back down and will stop at nothing to make sure she and her daughter are safe and protected.

Jace loved Faith fiercely and he did leave her with broken promises, but he thought he had a good enough reason for doing that.  It broke him too when he left, but in the interim he became a successful businessman, but at the cost of losing the girl he loved with all his heart.

Loved the whole present/past because when we get both versions, it always gives us a better perspective of why things are occurring the way they are.

I loved that Faith was a strong personality and she wouldn't back down for nothing.  Jace, he was a sweetheart and I loved how he just wouldn't give up no matter what.

A.L. Jackson knows how to deliver a good story that will leave you completely full and sated.

This definitely was a book that left you on the edge of your seat and I totally recommend it!
