Falling in love with a Bennet is not an option. My mother has summoned me home to take my place at Bower Bouquets, and as the heiress, I’m expected to do as I’m told. I’m expected to sit by her side as she does her best to decimate the Bennet family and their flower shop, Longbourne. I’m expected to play by her rules, or she’ll ruin me too. But the day I crash into Marcus Bennet changes everything. And the kiss seals the deal. If my mother finds out, I’ll lose everything—my family, my life, my security. Worse, she’ll make sure the Bennets pay for my mistakes. Falling in love with a Bennet is not an option. But I might not have a choice. 4.5 Heart Review by Ashley Does heartfelt rom-com get better than Staci Hart? I don't think so and Mum's the Word is a perfect example. It was sweet and funny. Sexy and a touch scandalous. And I hung on every single word. I adored Marcus and Maisie. Both strong and intelligent. Fiercely loyal to the things that matter the most to them. But from the moment they ran into each other everything changed. The attraction was instantaneous. More than that, they connected. They saw each other. Felt something new and wonderful. And in the next minute, the bubble burst. If you've been reading this series from the start, then you know what Marcus and his family are up against. Everything was on the line for them. But there was something about Maisie that he couldn't get out of his head. He knew he shouldn't, but he couldn't, wouldn't walk away. Maisie couldn't either. Even with everything they both had going on they found a way to put that all aside and focus on them. Cue the flutters...The longing. The romance. The clandestine meetings. The dreams. The love. I could feel it in every touch, every word, every promise of more...And then the bottom fell out. Secrets were revealed, half truths unearthed and no one was left unscathed. My heart shattered for Maisie and Marcus. For all they had hoped. All they had yearned for. But in true Staci Hart fashion, there was an answer to all the strife. And in this case it was unity. It took a lot of maneuvering, but Maisie, with the help of the whole Bennet brood, was able to set the wheels in motion. Now all she had to do was get Marcus on board... Rich with family and legacy, Mum's the Word was the perfect way to say farewell to Longbourne and the Bennet's. About the Author Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.
From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
