Just when you thought you had it all.

Chloe Cahill’s dreams changed after becoming pregnant in high school. She married her high school sweetheart just after graduation and together they welcomed a handsome son into the world. Now that Alex, her son, is in school she sets her eyes on finding the perfect job. Chloe feels the need to grow dependent upon herself instead of always relying on her husband.

But what happens when her husband goes out for a night of drinking and he doesn’t remember what happens?

Jackson Cahill thought he did the right thing by marrying his pregnant girlfriend just out of high school. Lately he’s been feeling restless in his marriage. One late night of drinking turns his life upside down but it just doesn’t end there. Jackson’s got himself in a real mess. The dilemma may just be too big of a disarray for him to get out of.

Can Chloe and Jackson keep their marriage from falling apart? Or will they decide to veer down different paths?

A story about thinking life thoroughly.  You meet the love your life in high school, get pregnant at such a young age, not planned obviously and your whole future just went out the window with this.  Just when the man of your life tells you he's going to take care of you and your child and you have nothing to worry about, you think you have it all because the most important thing you have is his love and support.

Although Jackson loved Chloe he felt trapped.  He felt like he didn't get to enjoy life and live it fully before settling down.  Everything came at him so quickly and he and Chloe had to grow up pretty quickly and become responsible parents.  He was letting everything, all his emotions and feelings build up inside him until the day came when he just couldn't help it and he exploded.  He hurt Chloe's feelings in admitting how he really felt.

All due to how he was feelings, Jackson decided to go and drink his sorrows at a bar and he met a woman at that bar that caused him some serious consequences in the aftermath.

Jackson doesn't remember what happened with this woman but he wanted answers and he was going to get them somehow.  In the meantime, Chloe has left and Jackson.  She feels inadequate and she hates the fact that she's always depended on him and now she has no recourses or resources to take care of herself and her son.

Jackson isn't giving up that easily.  He realized he said some harsh things to Chloe but deep down inside he knows he loves her and this separation has taught him that he can't live without his family.  He will do whatever it takes to get his family back.

Can Chloe forgive Jackson for his harsh words?  Can Chloe forgive him for lying to her once again about what happened with the woman at the bar?  Most importantly, can she trust him that he's telling her the truth?

They decide to go to marriage counseling and in the meantime, Jackson is wining and dining Chloe and trying to get her to remember how they used to be and that they can be that again.  He wants to prove to her that he still loves her and she means the world to him.

The synopsis of this book really sold me and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.  I love reading stories about second chances, they always have such an interesting plot.  I have to say that I was NOT disappointed with this story and I loved it.  I know it's part of a series but this is the first one I read from this series, but now that I have had the honor of reading this great book, I have to say that I am planning on reading the rest of the books about these Cahill family.

This was a definite 4.5 star read!
