This is the one I've been waiting for since diving into Kristen Proby's mafia series. Annika and Rafe have been in every book so far, and there have been hints of some painful history between them and I was ready! I really liked Annika. A strong and brave woman who had been through so much already. But when new threats came her way, it was Rafe who stepped in and up to ensure her safety. I loved his patience and restraint with Annika but also how relentless he was. How he made his intentions clear from the start. They thought they had it handled, but when bodies started turning up, they knew there was more to the story. I loved seeing everyone come together to get to the bottom of the attacks. And when all was revealed about who was behind the mayhem and murder, my jaw was on the floor. Talk about the most unexpected for twists. Everyone was floored. Whew! Off the Record had it all. Family, drama, friendships, danger, forgiveness. Plus a surprise Montgomery appearance! Annika and Rafe's second-chance romance had me glued to my kindle. And that ending...leave it to the boss man.
