Jackson and Rebecca Shea teamed up again to bring Elle's story to life. I was curious about her after reading One Wild Night (which you don't have to read as this is a total standalone). The first meeting between Elle and Kas was unexpected, on both of their parts, to say the least. When they crashed into each other, neither could believe their eyes. She was staring her fantasy in the face and he was seeing an angel. It was insta-lust for sure. But after Kas decided to milk his situation for all it was worth, it quickly became much, much more. For them both. I liked Elle so much. She was independent and sassy yet kind. Despite her reservations and how much she tried to push Kas away, Elle just couldn't. It was his charm and humor and honesty and dead sexy good looks that kept her wanting more. But when the ghost of her past came whispering back in her ear, all the progress Kas had made at breaking down her walls was over. To be fair, she's been burned by men in the past using her to get to her dad. And that misunderstanding brought all those feelings and fears to the forefront of her mind. It took some tough love from Elle's best friend, Kaylee to put things into perspective. And luckily for her, Elle had just the ace in the hole to try to win her man back. One Wild Ride was fun and romantic and being set in the glamorous world of Hollywood only added to its overall appeal. Fingers crossed that A.L.
