To high-end defense attorney Henry Garrison, Win Hughes is a woman he met during one of the most trying times of his life. She’s soft and warm, and he finds solace in their brief relationship. But Win has a secret. She’s actually Taylor Winston-Hughes—born to one of the wealthiest families in the country, orphaned as a child by a tragic accident. Win moves in the wealthiest circles, but her lavish lifestyle hides her pain.

When her best friend is murdered in the midst of a glittering New York gala, Win’s charged with the crime, and the only person in the world she wants to see is Henry.

Henry is shocked at the true identity of his lover, but he can’t reject the case. This case could take his new firm into the stratosphere. Still, he’s not getting burned by Win again. And yet every turn brings them closer together.

As the case takes a wild turn and Win's entire life is upended, she must look to the people she's closest to in order to find a killer. And Henry must decide between making his case and saving the woman he loves…

4 Star Review by Ashley

Whoa twisted! Order of Protection was one wild ride from beginning to end. It was dangerous, sexy, tragic and convoluted in only the way Lexi Blake pull off. I will say that things started a bit slowly but they sure did pick up about a quarter of the way through.

I liked Win from the get go. Henry, on the other hand, took some getting used to. He was quite closed off while trying to dig himself out of the drama of his recent past. But Win has a tragic past that haunts her as well. One that keeps trying to pull her back into what almost destroyed her. The things that haunted them played a big part in the push-pull between them and made the anticipation of when they would finally give into it that much sweeter.

It was an unexpected tragedy that really stirred the pot and brought all those feelings to the forefront. I don't usually like a lot of back and forth but for Henry and Win it worked. As her plight forced them into close quarters it had Henry questioning everything he thought he knew and wanted. I liked seeing his softer and protective side where Win was concerned.

Henry and his small but savvy firm thought they had the case wrapped up- thanks to a highly unexpected ally. However there was more darkness hiding. But also some hope too. Holy moly I didn't expect things to take the dark turn they did and my head was spinning. Oh that ending, be still my heart, it was just what Win and Henry deserved. Lexi Blake took me on a wild and dangerous ride that left me wanting more.
