What if the Knights Rebels aren't who you think they are? What if one moment in your life was altered? Or the path you took diverged from what you had planned? Will the battle of good verses evil become the ultimate game changer or will true love still prevail?

The premise of this novella is What If? The story is a twist on the fictional reality you've already read. A chance to see if the grass is greener on the other side.  What if one little decision changed everything? What if?  This novella follows Nix and Kadence and runs concurrently with Incandescent.  It is imperative that you read Incandescent before you read Paradox.

Nix Knight is a member of the Knights Rebels, he is harboring a secret that has been haunting him for 3 years.  He is responsible for an event that has changed Kadence's life for the worst and he now has the opportunity to make amends.   He is also madly attracted to Kadence, but However, the Knights Rebels are not good people, they are thugs - they make their living off illegal antics and make sure that the people in the town know they are the kingpins.

Kadence, however, is not afraid of Nix or The Knights Rebels.  She doesn't actively look for trouble with them but she is no pushover.  A night out on the town with her best friend Holly ends up with devastating results.  They are captured by Nix, Beau and Jesse for reasons unknown.

Nix keeps Kadence in close proximity to him while she and Holly are held at the club house and soon the passion flares between the two.  As always River writes smoking hot scenes that will leave you in a puddle on the floor - SWOOOOOOOOOOOON!

As the saying goes though, all good things must come to an end and soon Kadence is left devasted and betrayed yet again.  Will Nix save her and finally admit the truth?  Will their passion be enough to secure a future?  Or will the dangerous liaison between Nix and his club finally be the death knell between the two.

I loved this twist on Incandescent - it was well crafted, well written (as always) and really made you rethink what you thought of those damn Knights Rebels.  I know that River does usually write alpha men, but I loved how dark she made Nix, Beau and Jesse.  It really made my skin crawl reading how bad they were.  Nix is a takes no prisoners kind of guy and is afraid of no one - he does what he wants, when he wants, but as always his brothers come first.

Kadence endured quite a lot before we "meet" her in Paradox and as things are revealed, we realise how strong a character she is.  She has survived things that would make lesser people crumble.  I loved that she had strength and femininity in equal doses.

Another great book by River Savage, I am an avid fan and look forward to reading more of the Knights Rebels.  I am giving Paradox 4 stars - it was a refreshing read and because it was a novella, really faced past and action packed.

The best thing about purchasing Paradox as part of What If: The Anthology is
that 100% of the proceeds for What If: The Anthology will be donated to Autism Speaks.

Meet River Savage

River Savage is the author of the Knights Rebels MC Series.

An avid reader of romance and erotic novels, her love for books and reading fueled her passion for writing. Reading no longer sated her addiction, so she started writing in secret. She never imagined that her dream of publishing a novel would ever be achievable.
With a soft spot for an alpha male and a snarky sassy woman, Kadence and Nix were born.
