When Anna wakes up from a coma after a car crash, she discovers life has gone on without her. Her husband has been unfaithful—with her best friend—and she’s been long since replaced at work. While her old life is a distant memory, her new life feels like an empty shell. Then she meets the stranger who saved her life during the crash, and he changes everything.

Leif Larsen—tattooist, joker, and player—has his own scars thanks to the crash that put Anna in a coma. Helping her move on from her failed marriage, and create a new life, sounds like a perfect distraction. So when he needs a new roommate, he invites Anna to begin her new life with him.

Although their lives may have been put on pause, together they just might find a way to heal.

4 Heart Review by Ashley

EEEP! I have been waiting for this book since the tease Kylie Scott gave me in the back of Repeat. And let the record show that she did not disappoint me one bit.

I liked Anna a whole heck of a lot. She was honest and unassuming but also witty and bold. Determined to not let the accident define her, even if it did change her. Enter Leif, the man who found her in the wreckage and stayed with her. The accident did things to him too; and I don't just mean his injury.

I loved their fast and easy friendship. The banter was sharp and playful but always rooted in honesty. It was a gradual build and I was just waiting for them to give into the simmering tension. And when they did, it was so worth the wait. I loved seeing them move forward from the tragedy that brought them together. They did it with courage and the grace to know that there would be hard days but that they wouldn't be alone when they did.

There was that one moment towards the end that had my heart absolutely beating out of my chest. Holy crap I didn't see that coming at all but it was exactly what they needed. Whew! From start to finish Anna and Leif's unlikely romance was full of healing and promise and I couldn't get enough.

4 Heart Review by Lorena

Oh Anna and Leif, both souls that have something in common that met in tragic circumstances, but from the beginning Leif was there for Anna even if she was unable to see or hear him for the first several months.  Once Anna was back on track and herself, she finds things out about her life that she never in a million years thought would happen to her....but it did.

When Anna and Leif come face-to-face they instantly attract a special friendship that could easily turn into more but Leif, being the sensible one, doesn't want to push or rush with Anna because of what she's been through and he's also scared to take a leap from what he's also experienced in his life.

Life is not all peaches and cream but we all have to take a chance and the way Leif and Anna build up their relationship is a sweet and slow burn.  It was deliciously slow, but it was so worth it!

I loved their chemistry, their banter and the book made me laugh from time to time, which is a major plus for me in containing my attention when it comes to slow burns.
