“I loved you then,
I love you now,
and I’ve loved you every single day in between.”

Jameson Taylor is a nomad. A drifter. A memory collector.
Or, at least, that’s what’s become of her life ever since she was forced to leave pieces of her fractured heart behind.

“This is the fault in our fate, our one undoing:
All he’s ever wanted is my happiness,
even when it costs him his own.”

Holden Eastwood is resentful. Angry. But most of all, hurt.
Torn to pieces by the girl who left him, he struggles to find forgiveness in the organ she once broke.

When a tragedy forces them to face the aftermath, Jamie seeks acceptance, while Holden searches for answers.
What they find, instead, are remnants of their love.
Fragments of forever.
And parts of a puzzle that will lead them to the truth…
A truth that might shatter them to pieces.

4.5 Heart Review by Ashley

I feel like I have been waiting forever for Pieces of Me. And let the record show that Jay McLean did not let me down. When I say gut punch, I mean over and over and over again my heart was in my throat and my eyes were blurry.

Oh Jamie. This girl had lost so much in her life. Even with all the pain she still had this air of lightness to her. A strength that she earned the hard way. That she needed to face her past and fight for the future she wanted, with Holden.
Gah! Holden. Not going to lie, he was a bit of a jerk for the first half of the book. Rightfully so. He was slayed by what happened and Jamie being back in his safe place only stirred up all that suffering.

My belly hurt and my chest ached as Holden and Jamie fought to move past the demons of their past. The trauma that was the catalyst for everything that went wrong. I knew there was more to it than Jamie was letting on but I wasn't prepared for the bomb she dropped.

Full of pain and promise. Secrets and revelations. Heartache and hope. Friendships and family. Home and love. So much love that it bled from the pages straight into my heart (especially the moments with Maggie, Big H, Benny and Leo). I was swept away with Jamie and Holden's super emotional second-chance romance. And that ending, consider me wooed!
