I fell in absolute LOVE with Preppy when I first met him back in King- because bow ties & pancakes! And yes, you should totally read the other books in this series before this one- since there are overlapping events. If I thought I loved Samuel Clearwater before reading this book then I'm not sure what word to use to describe my feelings now... I found myself laughing and cringing at Preppy's harsh and sometimes crass honesty. But he was always, always truthful even when the people around him didn't want to hear it. He was wonderfully complex and beautifully flawed. But it was the way he handled Dre that truly endeared him to me. This girl was a hot bed of messed up. Her heart was in the right place and she was so smart. Now I can't say much without giving all the goods away so just read it. Enjoy the ride. Laugh with Preppy. Ache with Dre. Get hot and bothered when those two get together. And then go and check T.M. Frazier's page relentlessly for updates on the release of the next installment. Because that ending was just whoa!
