*****This book contains some content appropriate for age 17+ and is not suitable for younger readers***** Growing up without a mother, Camden never learned the rules of sex until introduced to them by a bad boy who took advantage of her innocence—breaking her. Will spiraled into a world of darkness following an unbearable hurt…in turn using women and alcohol to dull the pain. Two wounded people…coming together under awkward circumstances…healing each other…until the bad boy from Camden’s past finds her… Does Will have the power to fight for someone worth fighting for? Camden Biggs, the daughter of a professional baseball player…lost her mother at age 9. Eager to be loved, she fell in love with the hottest, bad boy she’d ever met at age 15, Max. Totally off limits and living under the same roof, she succumbed to his manipulations until he was forced out of her life—hanging on to a promise to only give herself to him. Will Denton raised by a trailer trash father and a trust fund mother had a taste of both worlds and all sorts of women—especially when he dove into a world of darkness following a tragedy and loss of his own. Camden, now a senior at the University of Kansas where she tutors the hottest, most talented athletes hides behind her outgoing roommate Kate—who is sexually active enough for both of them; Camden lives vicariously through Kate while still trying to heal her wounds from the past—until Will Denton comes home with Kate one night. Though he slept with Kate, he sets his sights on Cam. Camden finally succumbs to the gorgeous eyes and body of Will Denton. And as Will is finally starting to tear down the walls that Cam has built over the years…Bad Boy Max makes a reappearance to reclaim what was once his. Review by BrittanyKristi Pelton is a relatively new author, but man, she can write. I loved her book Pure Will, and I’m pretty sure you will too. Camden Briggs is a student at Kansas University, living with her best friend Kate. Kate is the only one that knows the terrible secret that binds her to her past, and she’d like to keep it that way. Though her secret has kept her from getting close to a guy for five years now. William Denton is a womanizer. Ever since he lost his brother, he’s been self medicating with women. He’s never wanted just one woman, until he met Camden Briggs. Ironically enough, he was fooling around with Kate, but the first time he saw Cam, he felt some inexplicable pull towards her. I cleared my throat and she froze, but kept the pillow intact. “I’m leaving,” I whispered loudly. “Come lock the door.” With her head still covered, she gave me a thumbs up. I grinned and closed the door behind me. How stinkin’ cute was that? For some dumb reason, my heart swelled a bit. This story was filled with so much love. I could tell Kristi really enjoyed writing this. Well, I certainly enjoyed reading it. It was very well written and chapters alternate points of view. And she doesn’t just keep it as Will or Cam’s point of view. She also adds in Kate and Will’s dad. Here’s a warning, there is a trigger scene near the end. If sensitive sexual subjects bother you, don’t read this. I don’t want to spoil the ending, so that’s all I can say for now. If you’d like to know more about it, message me and I’ll let you know. I don’t want to broadcast it to everyone. I give Kristi four stars. This was a terrific book! I think she can grow even more, and I know she will! I can see her writing being comparable to those like SE Hall or Angela Graham. She has great potential! I can’t wait to see more from her! About Kristi PeltonHI! The Just One of the Guys series was my first writing experience. I love writing romance. I struggle writing sex… But usually like the end product. I think… I work part-time as a probation officer for juveniles. But i spend the majority of my time with two of the most freakishly awesome boys ever...MY two sons! I am a huge Kansas Jayhawk fan, Oregon Duck fan and Chicago Cubs! I'm deliciously addicted to music...Love all kinds! Dr. Pepper is a close second in my addictions. Life is taken way to seriously by most...i say enjoy every moment, have a drink and READ!
