This is war…

We’re still running. Surviving. I refuse to stop until we’re free of the shadow that’s been hunting us. The price could be our lives, or watching Isabel change before my eyes. Her heart’s hardened from the things she’s seen...the things she’s done. But no matter how much blood stains our hands, no matter how long the nightmares haunt us, we have to stay ready for whatever comes next.

As my lost memories come to the surface, I can see more clearly than ever what we’re fighting for. The life Isabel and I once knew. The love we were robbed of. The future we could still have. But we can’t do this alone. Old friends and new allies join the cause, drawing our enemies into the light and raising the stakes. When a simple plan paves the way for the fight of our lives, I realize this is more than we bargained for.

This is war.

4 Star Review by Ashley

Whoa. Like major whoa.

This installment of the Red Ledger saga, while not full of in your face, guns blazing, danger, still had my heart racing. That's not say that Tristan and Isabel had a chance to catch their breath because that couldn't have been further from the truth.

The intensity came in spurts. Old friends and foes resurfaced and played a major role in what happened. I loved how Isabel stepped up and took her future into her own hands (even more than she already had). And how Tristan let her. Stood beside her while she did what had to be done.

With more twists and turns, Meredith Wild sure knows how to keep me, and Isabel and Tristan on their toes. Fingers crossed that these two catch a break soon. Gah! I am so ready for some happy for these two. Can't wait to see what's in store next.

3 Star Review by Brittany

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, and, unfortunately, this book was kind of boring. I often found myself drifting away into my own thoughts, unable to keep focus as I read.

As I got farther into the book, though, the more I was able to pay attention. I don't know if that's part of my ADHD, or if this book just wasn't as good as the rest.

It did feel a little longer than all the others in this series. I am really excited for the next installment and can't wait to see where Tristan and Isabel go from here.
