Picture
After two years in a coma, August Kinkaid has forgotten the darkness in his past. But his past hasn't forgotten him. His beautiful former fiancée, Everly, remembers every tumultuous moment of their stormy relationship. The sizzling passion. The web of lies. And the terrible secret Everly's been hiding since her last fateful night with August.

Now the truth is out and August remembers everything. As his long-buried memories come flooding back, he begins to understand why Everly would want to move on with her life. Why she would give her heart to another man. And why August should try to forget her once and for all.

But he can't give up on the only woman he's ever loved. Even if he has to reopen old wounds--and face the darkest demons of his past--August will do whatever it takes for a second chance with Everly. He let her slip away once. He's not about to spend the rest of his life remembering Everly when he could be holding her in his arms forever . . .

4.5 Star Review by Ashley

Holy wowza. I've been (not so patiently) waiting for the release of this book since the stunning conclusion to Forgetting August. Thankfully, J.L. Berg picked this up right where the last one left off. Yes, you need to read the first book before jumping into Remembering Everly otherwise you will be lost. My oh my...where to begin...

I'll start with August- if I liked him before then I LOVED him in this book. His imperfections and getting lost in memories and time really endeared him to me. He was so lost and trying to protect everyone while he unraveled the mess he was wrapped up in. He was so torn between wanting Everly and needing her safe that he chose her over himself. Which just proves how much he loves her. Everly had me nervous for a while but she came to her senses before it was too late. When sleazy Trent works a different angle to try and keep everyone playing his game by his rules, Everly had enough. I liked her fiery side. Her get out of my way, you're not going to hurt anyone I care about persona showed how much of a giver she was. She risked her own feelings and heart to find the truth. That is all the scoop you're gonna get from me on this one.

Whew- what a whirlwind! Know that there are as many ups as there are downs. The highs are high and the lows seem even lower. There is no shortage of angst. This duet packs quite the one-two punch. Everything that got torn down in the first book gets shredded and rebuilt in someway in this one. My heart ached, raced and rejoiced in equal measures. August and Everly's journey to the happily ever after they both wanted was full of detours and there was more than one occasion when I didn't think it would happen. Especially towards the end when Trent shows up! Remembering Everly was an absolute page turner that kept me guessing and hopeful even when all seemed lost.
