It is best if you read the prequel to this novel first, found in the Hot for Teacher Anthology

            I am trying so hard not to give spoilers, because a lot of the background to this novel is found in the prequel. It’s frustrating. I gotta word it ever so carefully.

            Eli is Jill’s teacher. And yes, as you can probably guess, they’re in a relationship. And it’s not one of those kinky “stay after class for detention” relationships; it’s one that is actually built on trust and love.

            But being her teacher, both Eli and Jill have to be super careful about hiding it. It’s hard, especially when Jill’s neighbor and residential bully claims he knows something about it.

            Near the end, a lot more happens than throughout the beginning and middle of the book. As I was sitting here trying to give a brief synopsis, I realized that.

            I think Missy Johnson and Carly Grey work really well together. I could not see any clear pattern as to whom was writing what part, and for me, in a co-written book, that’s a big deal.

            There also seemed to be some inconsistencies with timing. As a seasoned beta reader, I pick up on these things very quickly, and that takes away some of the enjoyment of the book.

            I give this book a solid four stars. I would love to see more of Missy and Carly together!
