Shantel Tessier has done it again. Lately her books have been getting so much more dirtier, more taboo and so much sexier. Can't tell you how much I love the depravity in her books, they just keep getting too better and better! I guess the hatred that Colton had for Raylee stemmed from not being able to have her since the moment he laid eyes on her, he couldn't claim her and flaunt her in front of everyone like he would have liked to, so the only thing he could think of was to make her life difficult and try and chase any guy who tried to get close to her. These two characters have a love/hate relationship with each other. For as much as they talk so much crap and Colt has a thing with degrading Raylee all the time, it doesn't affect her in the least, if anything, she loves all that kink, it gets her off so when she dates other guys and they are just vanilla and even though she's not shy about telling them what she likes, they still can't top how Colton makes her feel. Yeah, it may be bad because they are step-siblings but that hasn't stopped them from crossing the line. He's the only guy who knows what Raylee likes and how to put a smile on her face. Things just got out of hand when Colton had to go and cross the lines and make Raylee's life go down hill from that point on. But there is no one like Colton to come and rescue her from anything that comes between them and he sure as hell with break down the house if he needs to, to get to Raylee. Loved, LOVED this book and I was hooked from the beginning. I love how even though these characters may have an enemies-to-lovers trope, I love that this author doesn't do the whole slow burn thing and just gives it to us straight out. I just love that!!
