To say Knox and Penni's initial meeting was intense is an understatement. It was dangerous and nearly deadly. Though shy, Penni's bravery and backbone showed during that encounter and Knox couldn't get her out of his head. I loved how the big bad SEAL showed his softer side where she was concerned. How he showed her he cared with his words and actions. Especially as they realized that even though the day at the convenience store was over, the threat to Penni wasn't. Knox and Penni's whirlwind romance was pulse pounding but also laced with tender moments. They fell hard and fast despite all the chaos that was surrounding them. And the set up for the next book in the series...oh yes! I am ready!
