 Here’s a tip: never underestimate romance. Falling in love was the furthest thing from my mind. I’m a single mother raising a strong little boy, and he is my one and only priority. Hot guy with an accent- double check. Hot guy with an accent that speaks another language- triple check and start fanning yourself! Luca. I think he's my favorite of the men in this group of standalones from Joanne Schwehm and A.M. Madden. He is just so thoughtful and romantic and generous and a sex god and a soccer player! I loved the way he was in in from the first messy look at Sabrina. How when fate kept throwing them together, he took his chance to woo her. And woo her he did. That being said, Sabrina was a bit of a mess. With very understandable reasons. Her past relationship had a less than stellar ending. Couple that with the fact that she didn't just have to protect her heart but that of her son, Mikey's upped the emotional ante on all fronts. But goodness geez did Luca and Mikey just melt my heart. I loved this trio together. They were fun and playful and so open to new experiences. I could feel their joy. But when life happened, one of Sabrina's biggest fears was realized and hard choices had to be made. Everyone was out of sorts and struggling and I was just thinking to myself COME ON!!! I can't even put into words how much I adored this book. I also really liked that I got to catch up with the couples from the other books too. I really didn't think that it was possible to top Jude but Luca did it. Luca was just so dreamy (insert sigh & batting eyelashes here). Schwehm and Madden have really found their stride and are a powerhouse duo. I hope they never stop working together. Oh, and that tease at the end...I'm ready for more! About the Authors A.M.
