The first sexy, captivating, stand-alone novel in the brand-new FIGHT FOR ME series from NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author A.L. Jackson . . . Rex Gunner. As bitter as he is beautiful. The owner of the largest construction company in Gingham Lakes has been burned one too many times. His wife leaving him to raise their daughter was the last blow this single dad could take. The only woman he’ll let into his heart is his little girl. Rynna Dayne. As vulnerable as she is tempting. She ran from Gingham Lakes when she was seventeen. She swore to herself she would never return. Then her grandmother passed away and left her the deed to the diner that she once loved. When Rex meets his new neighbor, he knows he’s in trouble. She’s gorgeous and sweet and everything he can’t trust. Until she becomes the one thing he can’t resist. One kiss sends them tumbling toward ecstasy. But in a town this size, pasts are bound to collide. Caught in a web of lies, betrayal, and disloyalty, Rex must make a choice. Will he hide behind his walls or will he take the chance . . . 5 Star Review by Ashley I'll admit that it's been a while since I've read an A.L. Jackson book but sweet goodness! This book kicked me right in the feels. All of them. Right from the start. I was dying to know just what had happened to this poor girl that sent her running... Oh Rynna, sweet, courageous, smart, wounded and so kind. Maybe too nice for her own good at times. When her beloved Gramma passes and she inherits the diner and the house she was raised in, Rynna knows it's time to go back. She's rightfully nervous to return to the small town and the people who had caused her so much pain in her youth. She was pleasantly surprised to not find the tormentors of her past and a sexy neighbor, Rex. Rex, Rex, REX!!! This man so full of sorrow and pain and nowhere to put it. He's been betrayed by the people closest to him and left to collect the pieces. He didn't have a choice, his daughter, Frankie, was depending on him. That little girl, with her joyful spirit and and sweet innocence was just the thing this book needed to keep it light. When Rex meets his new neighbor, he knows he's in trouble. He is instinctively drawn to her even though he doesn't want to be. These two are electric and I was so glad they finally gave in. HOLY HOT! Even more, I loved seeing them open up to one another. Share their demons and let go of the pain of their past and look towards their future. But this is A.L. Jackson, the other shoe has to drop and it did. While I had guessed part of the twist rather early on, I was completely blindsided by the other half of it. Holy geez- my heart just shattered for Rynna and Rex for this new and unexpected challenge. And then my heart was racing because the danger came! I didn't see that coming at all and I was reading as fast as my eyeballs would allow. Insert the big eyes here. Show Me the Way gave me everything and left me wanting more. About the Author A.L. Jackson is the New York Times & USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance.
