While Sinful Love is a stand alone I highly recommend reading the earlier books in the series because the events from one lead into the the next as each piece of the puzzle that's been plaguing the Sloan family for years unfolds. And at the helm of that is Michael. His character has intrigued me since the first time I met him in the beginning of the Sinful Nights series and I fell for him hard and fast in here. There are mentions of Michael's what if girl from time to time, the reason he never settled down...his heart was hung up on the one and only girl who took it with her when she left his life almost two decades prior. Once I met Annalise, I understood why. That woman has a heart of gold and a sexy side that I think all women wish they could pull off. Her world has been rocked by heartbreak and it shaped the way she had lived her life. When the opportunity arises to come face to face with her past, she takes the risk because you just never know. I loved that the chemistry between Michael and Annalise was there from the moment they laid eyes on each other again. The small, quiet moments got to me in this one. I could really feel how desperate they were for one another. Yet at the same time they were both guarding their hearts because they knew what it was like to lose the other and they didn't want to have to try and survive that pain again. I can't forget how everything involving Michael's father wrapped up. Geez- talk about heart stopping. I never, ever in my mind connected the dots to put the puzzle together. Thankfully Michael and Annalise were able to! Sinful Love was a whirlwind that had it all. Lust. Love. Loss. Longing. Sex. Secrets. Sweetness. Mystery. Danger.
