I thought losing my memory was the worst thing in the world. Forgetting who you are, and where you came from was like driving on a road with only right turns. All leading in the same direction. A direction I wanted to avoid, a dark tunnel that I had to enter if I ever wanted answers.
Losing my memory wasn’t the worst thing in the world. Learning, who I was, and the secrets I had kept was way worse. The unbearable pull and the passion we shared, mixed with the past that I didn’t want to remember, created a whole new storm. The perfect storm of two kinds of crazy. Stupid little fish.

Jettie never seizes to amaze me.  Her books have so much angst and mystery that her books always leave you hating one of the main characters in her books.  But when you start reading the second book in the series, that one character you seemed to have developed a hatred towards, seems to redeem themselves and prove everyone that he/she is not the bad person in this story.

Gabriella will stop at nothing to find out about her life since she has amnesia and she wants to find out what exactly happened with her sister.  First of all, is she really Gabriella or is she Izabella?  She needs to find out why her husband is the way he is, so controlling, domineering and can be very hateful and spiteful.  He has never shown any love towards Gabby, until after her accident.

Paxton has been having some very confusing emotions going on.  He started developing strong feelings for his wife after her accident but when he finds out or thinks that Gabriella is Izabella he just goes batsh*t crazy.  He classified her as an imposter and wants nothing to do with her.  But then again, I think he is just acting like a jerk because he's afraid of getting hurt again.  See, Paxton got hurt by his first wife so he vowed he would never fall in love again.  He mistreated Gabriella and pretty much got off on the fact that she let him do whatever he wanted to her, that is until Gabriella decided to step up and defend herself.  That really stirred him up too, he was really liking that about her even though he didn't want her to.

Deep down inside Paxton loves Gabriella and ever since Gabriella had the accident, she's grown a back bone.  I was not very fond of her in the first book at the beginning because she was a typical stepford wife, but after the accident, that woman was not afraid to show who she really was and I loved that about her.  I love how she stands up to Paxton and isn't afraid of what is going to come out of his mouth anymore.  Good for Gabriella because she needed to stand up for herself and not let this husband of hers take advantage of her.  But in this book we learn the little secrets of why he is the way he is and what has him changing for Gabriella and his family.

This is definitely a series that will stay with you for a long time.  I still can't get the first book, Suit out of my mind and Jettie's books tend to do that, they linger in your brain for a while and I have to say that I have loved every book I've read from her.  They are so different, each story pulls you in and you just can't stop reading because it's one of those books that you have to find out the why's and what's that are going on in the book.  They hold these deep emotions that make you want to scream, shout, laugh, cry, pull your hair and just love the characters all in one sitting.
