Does she have the strength to love again?

After leaving a previous terrifying relationship, taking a chance on love through a dating app is a huge step for fiercely independent single mother, Olivia. Connecting with U.S. Navy veteran, Emmett Shepherd might seem like a match made in heaven . . . that is until Olivia discovers what he does for a living.

Will Olivia risk everything precious in her life and open her heart to a new love? Can she find the strength to place her trust in a man who has the power to tear her family apart?

3.5 Heart Review by Ashley

I love the Driven World and I love single parent romance. So when I saw that Strength combined the two I knew I would make it my first read from Kiera Jayne.

I liked Olivia a lot. She had battled and put her head down and did the work to eke out a life for her and her son, Charlie. I understood her hesitancy to get involved with anyone but I also get why she gave Emmett a chance. That man was kind and charming, generous and patient. And from the first time he met Olivia he knew there was something more he just had to put in the effort to help her see it too.

I have to say, I found some parts of the story a bit far fetched. Especially with all of Olivia's reluctance to get too invested because of her past. That being said, I found myself rooting for Emmett to finally break through her walls and give her, and Charlie, a glimpse of what real love is like. It was when her past caught up to her that everything clicked into place. Olivia and Emmett's whirlwind romance was steamy and had just enough hints at danger to keep me on my toes. And that ending! So sweet.
