Stuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward Double Review!

From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Cocky Bastard, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

It started out like any other morning on the train.

Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.

He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.

Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?

Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.

When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.

I might have picked it up.

I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.

I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.

When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.

So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.

I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.

I didn’t expect him to text back.

I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.

I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.

The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.

Yet, you know what they say about opposites.

When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on.  And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

When I first found out about this book revealing I squeeled pretty loud and sat anxiously for it's arrival.  I was so stoked when I got my copy and just devoured this precious book in literally one sitting.  I was completely enthralled with this book and I wanted no interruptions when I started reading it.

Soraya and Graham (awwww) they had me cracking up, my daughter would turn around and look at me like I was crazy because I would be reading the book and laughing at their banter back and forth.

For Graham being such a snobby and stuck-up man, he sure proved Soraya that he was far from that.....technically a past relationship that went sour was what made him the scrooge he was.

When Soraya storms into his life unvited and in such a precular way, Mr. Stuck-Up just couldn't resist and needed to know who this woman was that picked his interest.  She wasn't afraid of him and she told him how it is and he loved that fierceness in her.  I think that's what made him so curious and needed to find out more about this woman who was infuriating to him.

This book has wonderful, happy and sad moments (just like any typically Penelope and Vi book).  These books capture my heart and they stay imprinted on there.

I have read all of Penelope Ward books because she has such a way with words and her books always seem to hook me from beginning to end and they shatter my heart and just put it back together like a puzzle in the end.  I've never have found any of her books boring and have loved each and every one of them.  I can't express how much I love this woman and her writing.

Vi Keeland has also captured my heart with some of her books.  I still need to catch up on her books but I'm working on it ;)

I totally love these two authors collaberating in books together because they make such divine books.

Oh boy I can't wait for the next book of chance encounters from these two AMAZING authors!!

SIX GRAHAM STARS!!!!

4.5 Star Review by Ashley

When I saw that Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland were teaming up again I knew that I HAD to read whatever it was. These two together is pure writing gold. Their styles mesh so well that I can't tell who wrote what POV (though I have my guess). Truth be told, I saw the cover for Stuck-Up Suit and didn't even read the synopsis. I went in blind and was hooked from the first page for one reason...Soraya.

That woman! And she is all woman- hear her roar. I loved her fiery spirit and outspokenness. She knew who she was and she owned it, tattoos, tipped hair, vulnerabilities and all. When her path collides with a hot and angry stranger she had no idea the turn her life would take. Graham- whew! He is the definition of broody New Yorker (I know, I'm one myself) with the touch of superiority to match. His behavior towards others and Soraya, when we first meet him, is downright reprehensible.

My, my how quickly his tune changed when Soraya gave him what for! I wanted to high-five and hug her in equal measures for sticking up for herself and putting that jerk in his place. And what a mighty fine jerk he was until his true colors started to come out. Turns out he isn't a prick after all. Learning the story of his past made me sympathize with him and understand why he was that way. It was amazing to see the change in him as he opened up his life to someone and something besides work. Don't even get me started on how he was with his grandmother...mega swoon alert.

Then came the twist. My heart sank with every page I read because I just knew this one thing that neither of them could control was going to wreck havoc on the happiness they had found. Soraya, gotta love her for doing what she thought was best for everyone in the impossible situation.

Soraya and Graham couldn't be more opposite if they tried but somehow they balanced each other out and just worked. They brought out the best in each other, as love always manages to do. The one and only thing (and why this isn't a 5 star review) is that some of the New York City details were off. I live there so I'm especially picky when a story is told in my playground. That being said, those details don't detract from the book at all. If you don't live here, you wouldn't even know anything was off. There was so much to love about this book. From the perfectly placed humor to hot sex, to a daring city and the feelings Stuck-Up Suit had it all. Plus (mini spoiler alert) there was a Chance and Snowflake sighting! I honestly read this in less than a day- it was that un-putdownable.
