Luckily for Theo, Erin loves a good fight. Their reunion under siege Unfortunately, Hope is far from done with Theo Taggart. Obsessed with her prize experiment, she will do anything to get him back. If the only way to finally break him of his past life is to kill Erin and his son, then she's only too happy to oblige… 3 Star Review by Ashley I'm the first to admit I haven't read every book in this series. I started at the last one (then went back and read a few) but knew I had to read Theo's story after the way the previous one ended. My hopes were high for a fast paced novel full of twists and turns because this is Lexi Blake I was reading but unfortunately, for me, that didn't happen. However, there were some parts that were so intense they had me putting the white-knuckle, death grip on my kindle. I think my favorite part of this book was the flashes of the "old Theo" and how he worked them into who he was today. After the torture and mind games from the no good doctor. Thankfully Theo had the whole Taggart clan, and his fiery redhead, Erin there to help him along the way. Erin...that woman was so complex. I connected to her the most. Strong. Self-Reliant. Determined. Hopelessly in love. And when those two turned to what they knew best, things got pretty steamy. Though Theo was confused about a lot of things, his instincts weren't wrong. He knew deep down what he wanted he just didn't know how to get there. I found the way his struggle was portrayed repetitive. But, at the same time, he had to take that path- for his own peace of mind and soul. It was a necessary evil, I get it. There was that one surprise twist towards the end that gave this book the spark I was looking for all along. All that being said, I'm still looking forward to the next book in this series!
