Sunshine and Rain by M. Mabie

Welcome to Wynne, population 3402.

No rockstars. No major politicians. No media moguls.

Things don’t change quickly in a small town, except when they do. It’s been pouring rain all summer long, and the disc jockey and local farmer are all of the sudden attached at the hip. It’s not only the rising river getting deeper and deeper.

This is your basic water tower painting, tractor driving, tailgate cooler packing kind a guy chases the single, blonde, radio vixen with mosquito bite rage from his youth type of romance. Or is it the other way around?

Low on drama. High on Love.

Grab an umbrella because it’s a long wet summer.

4 Star Review by Ashley

I loved the first book in M. Mabie's City Limits series and was thrilled to go back to Wynne because my heart can only take so much of her angst! That doesn't mean Sunshine and Raid didn't come with it's own set of drama, this is small-town livin' I'm talking about here!

I adored Rhett and his old soul. He is a man who always knew what he wanted for his future and who he wanted in it. His sunshine. I love how he loved her as a kid and as a man. Fearlessly without reservation. Boldly and out loud. Even though took Sunny some time, ok, a lot of time- to get with the program, I was so happy when they got on the same page. My favorite thing about Sunny was that she was unapologeticly herself. Yes, she was a woman had had her bouts of insecurity but she wears her heart on her sleeve and loves deeply. When she's wrong she admits it and does her best to make amends.

I was swept up in the progression of Rhett and Sunny's relationship. There was an ease to it but that doesn't mean the passion wasn't there. These two really heated up those summer nights! There was romance and teenage antics and sweetness, music and tender moments that stole my heart. Oh, and there are a few snippets into Hannah and Vaughn's happily ever after, too (they're from the first book in the series). Sunshine and Rain is small-town romance at it's best and just proves that M. Mabie can write anything and it will be writing gold.

About the Author

M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody "real-life romance."

She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.

M. Mabie usually doesn't speak in third-person. She promises.
