Take My Breath Away by Faith Andrews

All I wanted to do was love her.

I couldn’t break her when she’d finally been put back together . . . when she was finally mine.

I was a coward, a bigger a**hole than her ex-husband, a more selfish pr*ck than her brother.

But London didn’t know that.

She only saw me as the man who would give her the world, the man who owned her heart.

And even though the confession burned the tip of my tongue and begged to be spit out and set free, I couldn’t do it.

Not yet . . . I needed to hold on to this lie for just a little while longer to keep her safe.

4 Star Review by Ashley

I didn't see this book, this duet coming from Faith Andrews at all. And that's saying something because I've read all of her words. There was pain and fear, heartbreak and and suspense, lies and hope, betrayal and love....

Goodness me how I adored Sam. He was such a good guy. Selfless. Kind. Giving. And so in love with London that we was willing to do anything for her happiness. Even if it meant losing her. His secret was a big one and when it came out, things got even more complicated.

My heart just ached for London. She had been through so much. Not just merely survived but started to thrive again only to have more drama thrown on her doorstep. But London wasn't going down without a fight. I loved seeing her fight for herself. Not just for what she wanted but for what she needed and deserved.

One of my favorite things about Take My Breath Away was the danger element in the story. Faith Andrews had my heart was racing and swooning at the same time. I loved London's bravery and Sam's fearlessness. The dual POV during the final showdown only added to the depth of emotions that poured out of me. This duet is intense and touches on some heavy things but at its core is a love story. Two friends who are just meant to be together. And that ending was everything happy and beautiful that London deserved.
