An assassin . . . that’s what I am.

I’m Wade Chandler by day and a killer at night. I get the job done no matter the cost. Not only do I hunt people for the FBI, but I’m also the owner of Chandler Enterprises, one of the top companies in the southeast.

When Brina Carmichael – daughter of the former president – wants my business advice, it’s hard to resist her long legs and seductive smile. One thing leads to another and now I’m in too deep.

I can’t let her know what I am, but I’ve never wanted a woman the way I want her.
However, harboring secrets comes at a price and I have a feeling she’s keeping some of her own. Especially, when my next mission leads me straight to her. Turns out she’s not who I thought she was.

4 Star Review by Ashley

Target is the first book I've read from L.P. Dover and what a world I've been missing! After reading the blurb alone I was ready for some serious suspense and did I get it. From the very start the stakes were high. And as the story progressed the intensity, mystery and danger just kept building.

I really liked Brina. Despite the tragedy she lived though at a young age, she found a way to move on. She channeled her time and energy into her business, staying out of the public eye as much as possible. However, at an event for her brother, who just so happens to be the president, she crosses paths with the one and only Wade Chandler. Business man extraordinaire. It didn't hurt that he was sexy as sin.

Needing Wade's help to get her business to really take off,  Brina makes a deal and plans are put into motion. Which equates to them spending lots of fun, sexy time together. There was no denying the instant sparks between Wade and Brina. These two have chemistry in spades but they also connect on a deeper level. But Brina's got a secret....Was it unconventional- yes. Did I see it coming- not at all. And when Wade gets clued on on the act, it was as if the clouds parted, the sun came out and the birds sang. FINALLY! There was a woman who could "get" him on every level.

Just when things are on the up and up for these two and their budding romance, the mystery man makes his move. L.P. Dover, I'm not sure if I needed a hug or a drink because WOW! The last chunk of Target had me reading furiously to see how everything would play out. What a tangled and twisted ride this was. Can you say jaw on the floor? How about wildly unexpected? Heart pounding? Gah! and that ending was so perfectly Wade and Brina that I can't help but hope to see them again somewhere down the line.

About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.

She loves to write, but she also loves to play tennis, go on mountain hikes and white water rafting, and has a passion for singing. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.
Dover has written countless novels, including her Forever Fae series, the Second Chances series, the Gloves Off series, the Armed & Dangerous series, the Royal Shifters series, and her standalone novel Love, Lies, and Deception. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense, but if she got to choose a setting in which to live, it would be with her faeries in the Land of the Fae.
