A hot one night stand between friends might spark true love in the latest Billionaires and Bridesmaids novel from the New York Times bestselling author of Billionaire Takes a Bride. Greer has always been there for Asher, but she wishes she could break through her shyness and show how much she truly loves him. But after a steamy, mindless fling at Hunter and Gretchen’s engagement party, Greer finds herself tossed aside and forced to admit that you can’t love someone who doesn’t acknowledge you exist. It’s a shame he got her pregnant. After his fiancée betrayed him and tanked his business in one fell swoop, Asher has spent his time trying to rebuild his wealth and forget the past. But he doesn’t understand why Greer blew him off after their night together—until he catches a glimpse of her belly. Now Asher is willing to do whatever it takes to convince Greer she belongs with him. And he’s very skilled at the art of persuasion. Review by Lorena So what do I like more than reading about hot men.....that they are filthy rich, that's what I love to read :) So Ms. Clare did a fantastic job with this book because she had us hating Asher and loving him all at the same time. Greer was a bit of annoying at times but I could see her point for being such a cold hearted snake with Asher. I mean, seriously the guy deserved it especially with the one night that he gave her -- totally unworthy of her feeling like she wasted her time with him! Greer has been in major love with Asher since she first met him. He was dating Donna at the time and even though Greer knew he was taken, she was perfectly content with being his friend, until Asher broke up with Donna and Greer was there as his shoulder to lean on. She would devote all her time to this man, that's how much she loved him, she would even walk on egg shells for him!! Asher never even realized that Greer had feelings for him, until one night after their one disastrous night, one of their mutual friends tells him that Greer has been holding a torch for him forever and that's when it clicks for him. He starts realizing that he screwed up big time, but I need to give him a break because he was drunk and Greer should have taken that into consideration and she didn't. She right away jumped to conclusions and left steaming and didn't want anything to do with the guy -- didn't so much as give him a chance to explain himself! I mean, who does that right, especially when you've been pining over this man!! So any way, Asher starts trying everything in his power to try and get Greer to listen to him, to forgive him and for them to try and work things out especially since she's expecting his kid. I would only because he was drunk on their first time and he deserves to redeem himself. I give him props for going all out of his way to try and prove to Greer that he is an idiot for not seeing the "one" right in front of him. He was blind and miserable for so long after his break-up with Donna and technically the guy got burned and sometimes it takes time to realize that the "one" has always been there for you and that someone wasn't the person you were going to marry! Fabulous read, kept me going and boy did it make me laugh my butt off at times so yes, this book was so worth my time reading :) ABOUT THE AUTHOR This is a pen name for Jill Myles.
Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier. After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.
