Kerrigan Hale's personal life is about as exciting as a bucket of tar. With hard work and hustle as her steadfast companions, who needs romance or adventure? Her empire in Calamity, Montana, isn't going to build itself.
For years, her mentor--and investor--helped make her dreams come true. Until his unexpected death put her fate in his grandson's hands. A brazen billionaire, he seems intent on ruining Kerrigan's life.

But if Pierce Sullivan thinks she'll go down without a fight, he's sorely mistaken. Pushed to the extreme, she drives to his ritzy mountain lodge to force the arrogant You Can Call Me Mr. Sullivan to hear her out.

No sooner does she arrive than a snowstorm traps her with Pierce. Stranded together for days, she's in for the battle of her life. Pierce is nearly irresistible by candlelight. Without his suits and fancy cars, he's almost human.

Except only a fool would let down her guard. And Kerrigan can't risk her future. Not when she doesn't know if he's out to pilfer her dreams . . . or to steal her heart.

5 Heart Review by Ashley

There is something about the way Willa Nash writes small town romance that feels like coming home (even though I live in a big city). The characters that feel like the people you grew up with. The streets and shops where everyone knows you. And even on your worst day there is always someone there to try and pick you up. And this return trip to Calamity was just that.

I LOVED Kerrigan. She was bold and tenacious. Relentless in the pursuit of her dreams. Her heart was in her hometown and doing her part to set it up to succeed. And she was going to  prove to Mr. Broody Billionaire Pierce Sullivan that she was worth the risk. He didn't make it easy, that's for sure. Especially since the moment he stepped foot in Montana he was ready to get right back out. The place and its memories were tarnished and haunted him. But the one thing he didn't count on was Kerrigan.

Oh that woman got to him in a way he wasn't expecting. And when mother nature threw her hand into the mix and stuck them together for a few days, he was more confused than ever about the fiery woman. All he knew was he wanted more. More of her goodness and passion and more of the lightness she brought into his life. But old demons and he had to lay his to rest before he could really move forward.

While The Brazen may come off sounding like your typical forced proximity romance, it is anything but. Kerrigan and Pierce's romance was turbulent and full of unexpected moments. The chemistry, the tension, the banter had me on the edge all the way through. There was family and forgiveness and dream chasing and deal making and romance. And that ending...can you say full circle? Just perfect.
