My instincts had always served me well.
Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away.

I never failed to heed the signs.
Until the day she walked into my office.
I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells.
And then it was too late, and I fell. Hard.
A lie tore us apart, and I thought I’d lost her forever.
But now she’s back—with a secret she’s been keeping.
This time, I’m not letting her go.

4 Heart Review by Ashley

The men of Hidden Justice are back and hotter than ever. I have been waiting for this book since the little tease at the end of the last one and Melanie Moreland did not let me down one bit with The Commander.

Case in point, Julian. The man behind the missions. The man who kept it all together. Who was knocked off his rocker with one look at Tally. She stole his breath and focus in equal measure. She was as fiery as her hair but also witty and kind. Sarcastic and a bit of a neat freak. Hiding from the pain of her not so distant past and doing her best to get by.

One night. One overzealous patron. One threat handled. Secrets revealed. Protection plan in effect...Not on the agenda...falling for Tally. It was oh so sweet seeing that man fall. Let his tender side show. But the secrets he was keeping caught up to him and cost him in a bigger way than he was expecting.

From start to finish Tally and Julian's second-chance romance was filled with danger and feeling. I was a riot of emotion the final third of this book as everything was hanging in the balance. The one thing that was never in question was how much Julian loved Tally and what he was willing to sacrifice for her happiness. And that ending was just what they deserved.
