I am so used to her downright angsty books that I was a little skeptical at first because sometimes a different genre doesn't work out for an author that is so used to writing sort of dark or just plain angsty (rip your heart out) type of books, but she certainly did nail this romcom. Let's not forget that I do love myself a friends to lovers book. I don't know why I love to read these where the friends harbor a love for each other but are too scared to show their true feelings in fear that they would get rejected and then things will be awkward. But Mila and Leo certainly did win my heart. They were a perfect match made once their true feelings were out in the open. I'm sure this series is going to be a blast to read because M. Robinson's inter-connected stories are always the bomb and I love her characters. She knows how to spin her stories to a level that will leave you wanting more. 4 Heart Review by Ashley Here's something I never thought I'd say..."M. Robinson wrote a rom-com and crushed it." Don't get me wrong, there was still a pinch of the angst Robinson was known for but for the most part, The Kiss was light and kept a smile on my face. I liked this entire group of friends. A bit rowdy but loyal and honest. And in the center of it all was Leo. Best friends with everyone. None of those friendships deeper and more pure than his with Mila. I loved how he was with her. Kind. Thoughtful. Generous. Protective. And completely blind to how in love with her he was. Same for Mila. Until one night changed everything. I was holding my breath waiting for these two to come to their senses and get on the same page. From start to finish,Leo and Mila's friends-to-lovers romance was witty, playful, laced with innuendo and left me with a big satisfied grin on my face. About the Author M.
