Rule number 1 for the team owner’s daughter? Don’t date the players.

Especially not hotheaded tight ends with tattoos and impulse control problems.

That’s why Dominic Walker is completely off my radar. Sort of.

Babysitting the team troublemaker when he’s forced to volunteer for the foundation where I work means I can’t exactly avoid him.

I wish I had though. Because once I get to know Dominic, it’s almost impossible to ignore the feelings he brings out in me.

Pretty soon, I’m breaking all my rules. I just have to hope he doesn’t break my heart in the process.

4 Heart Review by Ashley

Gah! I am giddy after finishing The Lie! Karla Sorensen legit had me hooked from the start...A broody bad boy with a heart of gold? A true sweetheart with just enough sass to keep her from being a pushover...a match that shouldn't work but does oh so well.

I adored Faith. Yes, she was born into a world of privilege but she used it for good. To help others. Her latest charge, Dominic, the new player on the Wolves with a chip on his shoulder bigger than the state of Washington. He's the bad boy...angry, hostile, standoffish and willing to make his mark. But what he never bet on was Faith.

She saw past all the brashness to the man underneath who had loved and lost and was just trying to be who he really was. There was an ease to them that had them both breaking their rules. Almost as if they had known each other for years...I was waiting for the fallout of when Faith would figure it out, and when it came it was massive. But I LOVED how she stood her ground.

Faith and Dominic's quasi enemies-to-friends to lovers romance was witty and steamy and full of heart. There was more than one moment that had my eyes clouding with emotion. Plus getting to see the Ward clan is always a treat. And that ending...oh my gosh yes! Bring on Lydia

About the Author

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job.  I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.
