It’s been months since the day we stood above that empty grave that stunk of burnt flesh and secrets. All of us were dressed to the nines, one of us wearing a wedding dress, a day that was supposed to mark the beginning of a new adventure.
It marked the bitter end of our vengeance.
We have done things that have marked our souls for eternity.
But before we get there, we have to go back.
Back to where it all started.
The place I could find in my sleep.
Hollow Heights University in the macabre, somber seaside town of Ponderosa Springs.
A college for prestigious, wealthy children to receive the highest education. A town drowning in treachery and secrets that became our damnation.
But it wasn’t the forest surrounding the grounds or even the mysterious hidden mausoleum that haunted me.
It was them.
The ones that lurked in the night, things so wicked, so twisted, so evil, they would become the rulers of my nightmares.
The Hollow Boys.
One wrong move and I landed myself directly in their line of fire.
This is not a story about love, it is not a story of happy endings.
Love just happened to blossom in our sorrows, in our pain, our fear, our blood.
Every terrible thing they ever did, we watched, we helped, we loved them anyway.
Some run from their monsters, we fell in love with ours.

4.5 Heart Review by Lorena

Oh boy this book certainly had some dark elements that may not be for everyone, but if you are one of those folks that can handle and tolerate just about anything, then I would highly suggest this riveting, titillating and out of this world kind of book.

We get four guys who are best friends that will do just about anything for each other, they will kill, they will torture, they will do whatever it takes to back each other up.

Briar doesn't come from a wealthy family but her uncle is a professor at the university where she got her foot in the door and she instantly bonds with her roommate. Total opposites but they have a special bond. When Briar and her roomie witness a murder happening they take off scared out of their wits, but in the chaos of running away Briar falls and makes noise and is discovered. Now both girls are having to look over their shoulders with each step they take because they know they can't say anything to anyone otherwise their lives will be in jeopardy.

One of the guys is intrigued by Briar and there is something about her that he can't shake. Even though he tends to want to instill fear in her and bullies her at every chance he gets, he also can't stand the fact that he has a strong attraction for Briar.

Will these kids survive the wrath of what they are causing? I was intrigued from beginning to end. I couldn't sit still because as soon as I thought the story would calm, something else happens and it has me sitting at the edge of my seat again. This book was definitely different, but damn was it downright good!

I am looking forward to reading more, more and more of the Hollow Boys!
