Review by Lorena The Other Brother was a heartfelt and emotional tale that really blew me away! This beautiful story told by dual POV was so touching that it actually made me tear up. Aaron hasn't had a great lifestyle, a dad who was never there for him and a mother who preferred booze and drugs over her son. He has two biological brothers that were both given up for adoption so they could lead a beautiful life. So why not Aaron, what was so special about him that his mother didn't want to give him a better life too?? Oh so many questions that kept accumulating in my brain with this book! Amelia fled her hometown after Aaron broke things off with her and he wouldn't give her a good explanation as to why he was breaking up with her, so she fled, she decided to move to the city and pursue her education. She then meets a wonderful guy and now they've been dating for a few years and she loves him. But then she gets the inevitable call that her dad isn't doing well so she decides to move back home to watch over him and her caring and wonderful boyfriend is supposed to follow her, look for a job in the small town and they would live happily ever after right! Well plans don't always turn out the way we want or expect. The less time Amelia spends with Trey and the more she finds herself spending with her neighbor (none other than Aaron) she finds that her feelings for him never disappeared. She might have made them dormant, but they're still there. But she's a faithful girlfriend and will not cheat on her wonderful boyfriend. But Aaron is also an understanding, caring and loving "friend" and he plans on staying her friend but he wants her to realize that he still loves her and wants her back. When the truth comes out as to why Aaron had to break up with Amelia, she gets upset because to her those reasons were not feasible. But as time progresses, she starts understanding his decisions and why he chose them. So now she finds herself in a dilemma. Does she love Trey enough to stay with him or is her heart still is and will always be with Aaron? Can these two individuals make it work between them or are they doomed forever? This second chance romance was one that will stay with me. There was so much emotion involved and besides the funny parts, there was also sad parts that broke my heart.
