Picture
Sawyer wants a life of her own.
Finn wants to forget he ever had one.

After a tragedy, Finn Hollis escapes
into the swamp to be alone.
That is until Sawyer Dixon shows up,
all SCORCHING HOT innocence,
claiming she owns the land less than
fifty feet from his front door.

Sawyer gets under his SKIN, but even worse?
She makes him WANT things.
Things Finn hasn’t wanted in a very very long time.

Finn WANTS Sawyer gone.
Almost as much as he wants her in his BED.

The Outskirts is Book One in the Outskirts Duet.

4 Star Review by Ashley

Is there anything T.M. Fraizer can't write? This book got me while I was reading it and even more, a few days later now that it's had time to simmer in my mind. The opening had my eyes wide and trying to read faster so I could see what was going to happen next. That didn't change the whole was through.

Goodness me how I loved Sawyer. Watching her blossom and discover who she wanted to be on her own terms was so refreshing. And awkward and funny at times. She fell in love with herself and the world for the first time. She found where she wanted to be, home. Her kindness and naivete showed in almost everything she did but it also added to her charm. Not so charming, Finn. The self imposed recluse. Who closed himself down and everyone out after tragedy shook his world.

While it took me a bit to warm up to Finn's brood and anger, I could always sense that under the surface he was a good guy. Otherwise what happened wouldn't have changed him so much. Sawyer saw it too. He couldn't deny his pull towards Sawyer and  I was so glad when he stopped trying to. She brought out his softer side that he forgot existed. He taught her about the world and she taught him about true love and acceptance.

The Outskirts had me hanging on every page. I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop, this is a T.M. Frazier book after all. Finn and Sawyer's story was unexpectedly sweet but still gave me the angst and plenty of humor. Insert the friends that Sawyer made, Josh and Miller- those two are something else. But that ending- be still my heart! I didn't see that twist coming at. All. I absolutely can not wait for the next installment of this duet!
