The perfect husband. Colin Cassidy—the incredibly talented, extremely gorgeous, and unbelievably humble star NFL quarterback.

The perfect marriage. Our bond was unbreakable. His support unwavering.

The perfect career. As the recently-appointed executive director for the Boston chapter of Mending Hearts, a child abuse prevention and treatment program, my daily reward was helping to keep vulnerable, innocent children from being preyed upon and destroyed. It’s all I’d wanted to do since I was a teenager.

Perfect city. Perfect car. Perfect house with the perfect view.

From the outside looking in, it was impossible to find a single flaw in my life. I had it all. Everything I'd ever wanted.

But that kind of perfection came at a price. Demanded the ultimate sacrifice.

What happened when I discovered what I'd been missing all along? When I began to question if the lies were worth protecting?

What if suddenly the last thing I wanted was to be perfect?

4.5 Star Review by Ashley

I am a big Erin Noelle fan and will read anything this woman puts out. She has the uncanny ability to write anything from humor to gut crushing angst to scenes so steamy you need to fan yourself. And The Perfect Life is no exception to her winning formula. The intro's of each chapter only added to the impact of what was taking place. I was instantly swept into the whirlwind life of Colin and Monroe. Both do-gooders with big secrets that they're willing to protect at all costs. One of the biggest jaw droppers happened pretty early on and had my head spinning.

I loved Monroe and her big, soft, giving heart. Her choices are her own and she makes them with the best interest of others at the forefront of her mind. And just as her dream is on the cusp of coming true, another twist in her seemingly wonderful world throws everything off its axis. It also brings the nerdy but sexy Oliver Saxon into her life. Their first meeting was sweet, flirty and fun. But there was this underlying tension that they both felt the moment their eyes locked and it shook them both to their core.

Oliver was such a good guy! I liked him from the start. His kindness and how he gave himself to the center. But it was his inner battle over his feelings for Monroe and how he didn't want to be "that guy" which made him all the more likable. The fact that he was hot as all get out and good with his mouth and fingers (you'll see what I mean) didn't hurt either. Their relationship and all that it entails is something neither of them thought they would ever have. Both Monroe and Oliver's pasts are far from ideal and when those details were revealed my eyes were misty.

Of course, in true Erin Noelle fashion, the big turn comes just when I think everyone is going to get the happiness they deserve. I really wanted to jump into my kindle and shake the someone that caused all the unnecessary trouble. My heart ached for Monroe and I was angry for her too. She had taken such strides and worked past so much of her fears and then for that to happen- just heartbreaking. I liked the way Colin finally stepped up and risked it all for the one he loves the most. That being said, things seemed to warp up pretty swiftly. I wanted a touch more of the fallout and the events that took place shortly thereafter. However, that is just me and my curious brain and what I want in no way detracts from the overall wonderfulness of this story (and hopefully they'll be coming at some point). This book is full of humor, heartbreak and hope. The Perfect Life shows that there is no such thing as perfection. But love, especially Colin, Monroe and Oliver's, knows no fear and will always find a way to be with the one it wants.
