Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.
Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything. So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him. Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on. And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to maintain the club’s best interest, in regards to whether he’s ready to play. But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned? 4 Star Review by Ashley
It's been a good while since I've read anything from K. Bromberg (hangs head) but I saw baseball- and this cover- and knew I had to get my hands on The Player. Then I read the dedication. Then I read it again. It put a smile on my face because I know those women. I am one of those women. But back to the actual story because I can't remember the last time I was so engrossed in a sports romance (and I do love me a good sports romance)!
I really liked Easton. He was so much more than the player everyone made him out to be. Yes he was a prankster. Yes he had a smirk and the swagger to back it up. But he also had such a giving heart and I loved uncovering each new facet of his personality as much as Scout. I loved how she saw the man behind the mask. The man that was the player. And for that reason, she was the star of this book. She was fiery and passionate. Sassy and sensitive. And ready for a life of her own. Both Scout and Easton are trying to live up to the legacy of their fathers. Legends to the game in their own right. But this was Easton's time and it was up to Scout to make sure that happened. That means a lot of time in close quarters. All the touching and stretching and massaging leads to some major sexual tension. Easton is all in but Scout is hesitant. She has her reasons for her resistance and I absolutely loved seeing how East tore her walls down. While The Player is toted as a sports romance it was so much more than that. K. Bromberg delivered on all fronts. There was sarcasm and drama and humor and sex (awesome sex) and heart. So much heart. The internal banter was just as witty as the things Easton and Scout said to each other. Days were really looking up for Scout and Easton and then the other shoe dropped...Oh my word! I didn't see that coming at all. Gah! I need the next book in this duet...like yesterday! About the Author
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love.
A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow. Since publishing her first book in 2013, K. has sold over one million copies of her books and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over twenty-five times. In April, she’ll release The Player, the first in a two-book sports romance series (The Catch, book 2, will be released late June), with many more already outlined and ready to be written. She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media or sign up for her newsletter to stay up to date on all her latest releases and sales: http://bit.ly/254MWtI
