He’s death for hire… Some people measure life in hours. Days. Weeks. I measure mine in kills. A covert military mission gone wrong robbed me of my memory and any link to my past. This is my existence now. I execute and survive. Nothing more, nothing less. I was ready to write Isabel Foster’s name in my ledger of unfortunate souls until she uttered the one word that could stop the bullet meant for her. My name. She knows my face. She knows me. She’s the key to the memories I’m not sure I want back. Now nothing is simple. I still have a job to do, and my soul isn’t worth saving. I’m not the man she thinks I am. I can’t love her. And sparing her life puts us both in the crosshairs. Reborn: The Red Ledger (books 1-3 bundle) 4 Star Review by Ashley Holy crap what did I just read? Meredith Wild took me around the world and back again and I'm still not sure which way is up. I liked that things kind of worked in reverse with this story. There is a lot of intense drama and danger but sprinkled through it is a love that won't quit and a man learning who he is. I really liked Isabel. She's bold and kind and unrelenting in her feelings for Tristan. And whew- Tristan- that man is something else. Lethal is the first word that comes to mind. He never hesitates, until that one time.... That moment that Tristan takes pause sets off a course of events that neither of them saw coming. I can't even get into all the crazy that unfolds. There is mystery and loads of danger. My heart was racing for more than half the book. And in the midst of all the chaos, a budding romance that defied the odds and time. As part of the mystery unfolded, there were so many more questions that came to light. At one point I looked down and saw that I was at 86% and I just knew...there was too much left to happen. That's your mini spoiler, Reborn is not the end of The Red Ledger saga. While one part of the problem for Isabel and Tristan has been solved, there is the bigger issue at hand and I can't wait to see where they go next! 4 Star Review by Brittany What a suspenseful book! This is the first book by Meredith Wild that I have read, and let me tell you, I am now a reader for life! I'm glad that I got to read these three altogether, rather than having to wait for each one to come out. They each end in a bit of a cliffhanger, so I would hate having to wait to get the next installment. Meredith Wild seems to be very knowledgeable of all the places that she writes about in this book. Rio, DC, New Orleans, she knows them well. It made the story more enjoyable, being able to read and feel like I was immersed in the places she wrote about. I really did enjoy these books and am already reading number 4, even though I should be reading other arcs that come before that one.
