How hard can it be?

That was the question rolling around Larissa Mason’s mind just before she asked Hollis Hudson to be her fake boyfriend.

It was only supposed to be for five minutes, after all.

Granted, that was also before she felt his hand on the small of her back as he charmed the heck out of her family.

She hadn’t heard his laugh yet either.

And it was definitely before she saw the football god shirtless. Otherwise, she would’ve had an idea of just how hard some things could be.

It turns out that pretending to be in love with a crazily handsome, somewhat enigmatic, and absolutely unforgettable tight end (that has an amazing tight end) is easy.

Reminding herself that just because opposites attract doesn’t mean they’re forever is much harder.

What they have isn’t love—it’s a relationship pact. Right?

4 Heart Review by Ashley

This fake relationship romance was drool worthy. Or maybe that was Hollis. Either way, The Relationship Pact was a fun, tender, feel-good love story if I've ever read one. Plus a Lincoln Landry sighting (or two) never hurts.

I really liked Larissa. She was confident in who she was. Knew what she wanted and wasn't going to let anyone get in her way. Especially a meddling mother. The one thing she didn't plan on, meeting Hollis Hudson.

Ohhhhhh Hollis! I adored him. And the more I got to know him the more I liked him. He was a hard worker and stuck by his commitments. But he was also lost. Searching for something. And what he found was Larissa (and Judy). He couldn't explain it but there was something about this place and these people that settled him. But as the clock with his time with Larissa was running out, it was all he could do to keep his heart out of the mix.

I wasn't expecting this to take the emotional turn it did. Man, Adriana Locke sure did punch me in the chest and I'm not even upset about it because it fit them so well. It was just what they both needed. Hollis and Larissa's whirlwind romance was high on heat and humor. And I really like that while their book ended, their story is still being written (fingers crossed to see them again soon).
