Book one had me in a trance and now book two has me really obsessed with where this story is taking us. Reading this story reminds me so much of the program, Miami Vice. The story is so intense, with enough drama, suspense, thriller and romance all combined together is just incredible. Xavier and Nikki just have this really strong connection but Nikki is not comfortable around him any more after she discovers that he's the king pin, or so at least she thinks he is. Xavier can be intimidating and a bit scary with a whole lot of dominating, but that isn't going to deter Nikki from trying to find out how her brother died and who was behind his death. Things start to get a little complicated, it seems like Nikki is now a target and someone wants her dead. Now more than ever can Nikki help the DEA crack down Xavier or will she cave and stick with Xavier? Choices, choices which route should she take. I mean, seriously! Xavier is a whole lot of sexiness and let's not forget rich but if he's this dangerous, is it worth risking your life over? I have so many questions that I need answered and now I have to wait for book three (argh!) In all honestly I feel like Xavier is not the bad guy here and he's really sincere in protecting Nikki, but so many things point towards him that he's the drug lord that needs to be captured and put behind bars. I was seriously sitting at the edge of my seat reading this book and I am stoked to finish reading this story because hot damn, as I'm reading it, I actually feel like I'm there as part of the whole drama. I love reading these types of books that will leave you panting and wanting more because you just need to find out the who's and the why's and they are just so intriguing.
