The Secret by Kristen Proby

Vaughn is everything I'm supposed to stay away from. Sexy. Cocky. And famous.
Ultra-famous.
I grew up in a family full of wealthy celebrities. My father, Luke Williams, is the celebrity of them all. A superstar actor and producer, my father knows the downside of living in the spotlight. And because of that, he sheltered my siblings and me from everything Hollywood entailed. We didn't attend premieres. We weren't photographed. There were no friendships with other celebrities' children.
The limelight couldn't touch us.
But now, at twenty-five, I'm ready to start my life, working for my father's production company in downtown Seattle--until Vaughn Barrymore walks through the door.
He can't keep his hands off me. He's completely forbidden, but I can't help falling for the sweet, complicated man.
When--and it's when not if--my family finds out that I've been keeping this secret, will I have to choose between the man I love and those who mean the most to me? Or, by some miracle, can I have both?

4 Heart Review by Ashley

And the award goes to...Kristen Proby for kicking off the next generation of the With Me in Seattle Series in grand fashion. It only made sense to start at the beginning with Luke and Natalie's daughter.

I really liked Olivia. She was strong willed, kind and talented. Making a name for herself in the business on her own terms, not just riding the coattails of her dad. She demanded respect and got it, except from one in-demand actor, Vaughn.

Not gonna lie, it took me a bit to warm up to that guy. He had this 'who he was' attitude about him that he wore like a badge of honor. To be fair he had the swagger, talent and family history to back it up. But it didn't take long for him to become infatuated with the bold seamstress who didn't bow to him.

I really enjoyed watching the Hollywood playboy shed his ways. Show a softer, more open side to his personality. Reach for something more for himself. They both had to decide if this thing brewing between them was worth the inconvenience of being in the spotlight. While Vaughn was full steam ahead, Olivia was the one on the fence...

The Secret is everything I love about a With Me in Seattle book. Heart and heat and family. SO much family. I really loved seeing Luke in papa bear mode. And here it comes...mini spoiler alert...those girls nights continue here with cousins night. Similar but different. Olivia and Vaughn's opposites attract romance was a great way to kick off what is sure to be a fun series.
