(See below:) #1: Insanely attractive. #2: The most fun a girl could ever have. #3: Successful and intelligent. #4: He can quote Walt Whitman at the drop of a hat—which I’m sure you know is a dangerous thing for a literature-lover. #5: Smooth with a capital S. He could charm the panties off a woman WITHOUT the help of a dare. And now, Mr. Hot Professor, the man I’m determined to resist, is challenging me to a competition—a playful, secret game, so to speak—where the winner takes all. My plan? Witty. Sexy. Hilarious. What do you expect when two commitment-phobes find themselves falling for the first time? The initial meeting between Rachel and Ty had me holding my breath because I could cut the tension with a knife. Thanks to a wickedly cruel twist of fate they find themselves in each other's orbit once again, only this time there is no escaping. They're stuck for the foreseeable future and it was game on. I adored Rachel. She was strong willed and so smart. Never backed down from a challenge. If you told her she couldn't do something, she'd find two ways to prove you wrong. Which is exactly how the stakes kept getting raised in the dangerous game that she found herself playing with Ty. Where were professors like Ty when I was in college suffering through prerequisite classes that never seemed to end? The way he broke down freaking Tolstoy and made it relatable to today's youth was brilliant. Heck I'd go back and take his class. I loved the way these two played off of and brought out the best sides of each other. They inspired one another to level up and be creative. It was the way Ty saw the weight of expectations that Rachel carried and did his best to unburden her from that pressure that made me melt. And somewhere in the middle of the clandestine hookups and lectures, something neither of them expected, or wanted, happened...they fell. But when their happy little bubble burst, Rachel did what she does best....run. Filled with family and literature and history, Rachel and Ty's romance with a touch of the forbidden had me hanging on every word. I knew I was in for a read that would make me laugh and swoon but I wasn't expecting quite the emotional punch this book delivered (in the best way). I absolutely can not wait for more Winslow brother madness.
