No dating.
No sex outside of the game.
No disclosing the terms of the contract.

Rules were made to be broken, right?

Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. One that seemed like a good idea at the time. A handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules though. Lots of them actually. Follow the script, no dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men the last year, it wouldn’t be hard to live up to my end of the bargain…so I thought. Until I realized the deal I’d made was with the devil…and I was in love with his dirty-talking brother.

Kate needs to win and she needs no distractions as she tries to do it.  Signed on to America's latest reality show "Throb" to try and win over the latest bad boy of rock, she is competing against a bevy of other beauties.  She needs the win, not because she is in love with the bachelor, but because she needs the money.  Winning the show means she walks away with a tidy little lump sum that will save her family.  However, the rules of the show mean that she may not date or have relations outside of it.

Enter Cooper Montgomery - successful studio executive and the man of Kate's dreams.  He is also the brother to Miles, who is the brainchild behind this new reality show.  A chance meeting between Kate and Cooper send sparks flying and although initially hesitant because of the rules of the show, Kate does eventually succumb.  Kate does make it clear to Cooper though that she is committed to the show and to winning - and they agree to steer clear of each other for the duration of the show, 7 agonisingly long weeks

While she has amazing chemistry with Cooper, she also shares  on-screen chemistry with Throb's resident heartthrob, rock star bachelor. Lust, lies, jealousy, cat fights and sex are scripted on and off camera. Who is going to walk away the real winner?

I loved this book!  It was something so completely different, but had you routing for the couple from the first chapter.  Kate is the epitome of a strong female lead - she has fire, she has determination and most of all she will never allow a man to pay her way.  She wants to do things her way.

Cooper is a somewhat fractured man - he has lived the life of a lusty playboy.  He doesn't do relationships.  He is a successful businessman and that is all he has time to focus on, until he meets Kate.  I love that we get to see the softer side of Cooper, without losing his edginess.

I am giving this book 4 amazing stars!  It was a fun fast paced read filled with all of the angst and tenderness that you would expect from a Vi Keeland novel.
