Once upon a time…

There was a little girl who believed in fairy tales and happily ever afters.

Hoping.
Praying.
Waiting…

For her prince to come.

Together they’d conquer the world.

Slaying dragons, demons, and villains.

Until her Prince Charming let his demons prevail.

She cried and begged and prayed.

She hated him.
She loved him.
She couldn’t save him.

“I’m sorry.”
“I love you.”

Were five words she despised more than anything.
Her fairy tale had become her worst nightmare.

She didn’t know how much more she could take.
She didn’t know love could turn into hate.
There were so many things she didn’t know.

Especially, how to tell him, “No.”

4 Heart Review by Ashley

I should expect it with a M. Robinson book but I think it can't be as bad as last time. Well, let the record show that I am not OK after finishing 'Til the Last Lyric! I can't even begin to put into words that pain that was in my chest reading the conclusion of Cash and Journey's story.

Cash was a train wreck waiting to happen and I hated that he brought Journey down with him. But it was inevitable. I could see it coming from a mile away, everyone could. Except them. The catalyst for Cash's spiral down slayed me. All that wasted time...

'Til the Last Lyric put me through the ringer. It was turbulent, chaotic, and I couldn't get enough. The angst. The longing. The torture. The hope. The revelations. The promise. And then the twist. My heart stopped and then it shattered. Just like Cash's and it was exactly the kick in the pants he needed to get himself the help he needed. To run head first into his future instead of hiding from his past. And there waiting for him, Journey. His Junie. And that ending...every bit of havoc M. Robinson bestowed upon my heart, she stitched back together.
