Be spontaneous, they say.
That's how I ended up on the back of a stranger's bike.

A sexy, tall, tattooed stranger, but a stranger nonetheless.

How was I to know that a chance meeting with this man, Xander Kane, was going to change my life?

Every time a Chantal Fernando novel gets into my grubby hands, I DEVOUR it, Time Will Tell is the third installment in the Maybe Series.  This is the story about Xander, who will have you swooning and melting - from his devastatingly good looks to his man bun!  SIGH!  He meets Trillian on a trip to Charron.  She is like the sister his best friend Zach never had.  As soon as Xander lays eyes on her sparks fly.

Trillian is the epitome of a good girl.  She works hard, she is studying to be a teacher and she bakes like a domestic goddess.  She has also been taken under the wing of father and son MC duo, Grimm and Zach.  They have stepped into her life as anchors after the passing of her father.  They are her strength and she loves them dearly.  They do keep her somewhat sheltered from the harsh realities of the MC world.  She only gets to see the inside of the clubhouse after she twists Zach arm into letting her into one of the old lady's birthday parties.  One of the things that I loved about Trillian (or Trill) is that she has not let life jade her.  She is soft hearted, kind and good.  This doesn't mean that she lets people walk all over her.  I also love the relationship that she develops with Xander.  We see her go from this timid and shy little mouse, to this beauty who is comfortable in her own skin and sexuality.

Xander comes to town to deal with the loss of his beloved father.  He knows that spending time out of the city and with his best friend Zach, is exactly what the doctor ordered.  However, the moment he lays eyes on Trillian, he realises that this trip is going to change his life.  After a few hiccups when they initially meet, nearly all of them due to Xander being an asshole, they finally manage to admit what they both want.  However, a devastating event sends Xander rushing back home to help.  This means that his time with Trill has been short and not too much has been resolved.

After almost a month of seeing Trill sad, Zach gets in touch with Xander and uses a trump card to get him back to Charron in a hurry.  This is exactly what he and Trill needed!  The passion FLARES!  I promise you, smoke and steam literally pour from the page with these two.  The only down side is that the two both know that Xander will at some point have to leave to return to business.

What's in store for this couple? Will their relationship survive the time apart?  Will Xander be able to remain faithful?  Will Trill be able to trust him?  With Zach's brothers circling around Trill, will she be able to rocus on her relationship with Xander? Only time will tell ....

I am giving this book 4 Stars, I loved reading about a relationship that starts out so innocently beautiful and develops into this all consuming, passionate beast.  I also loved how both characters healed each other - both suffering from past losses, but finding that the love they have together makes them both whole.  It is a book that is real and beautiful, I just loved reading it.  Sometimes the books we read can make love seem so complicated - when in fact, it isn't.  This book makes love exactly what it should be: simple, beautiful and poetic.
