I believe in fairy tales — the kind where a knight in shining armor sweeps me off my feet. Coming from a broken home, fairy tales housed the hope I clung to. Never in my life did I imagine two knights coming into my life— two knights that wore very different armor. A rockstar versus a lawyer. Fast and furious versus deliberate and calculated. Intense and passionate versus strong and devoted. Chaos versus stability. I fell in love with one in the craziness of a concert. I fell in love with the other in the silence of his compassion. And now I am Torn Between Two. 4 Star Review by Ashley I am always hesitant to read something that has "love triangle" written all over it. BUT I love me some Mia Kayla so I decided to just go for it with Torn Between Two and am I glad I did. Holy moly my head and heart went on quite the ride with this one. It was sweet and sexy while being quirky and deep at the same time. I liked Sam from the get go. Though my life story is nothing like hers, I related to her...good girl, wants the real thing, not wanting to settle for less than she deserves. But given a once in a lifetime chance decides to take it and gets wayyyy more than she bargained for in the form of one lonely and lost rock star, Hawke. What she wasn't expecting was the surprising and easy friendship she formed with the sweet and quirky shoe salesman, Josh. These two guys couldn't be more different but they both had their appeal. Hawke with his broody deepness. Josh with his humor and kindness. They brought out different things in Sam while still allowing her to be herself. I knew from the mid point who I wanted Sam to choose, but it wasn't quite that easy for her. Oh I was torn to bits the more this book went on. And that ending just about made my heart stop before it started beating furiously. I absolutely can not wait for the next part of this duet! About the Author Mia Kayla is a New Adult/Contemporary Romance writer who lives in Illinois.
Most of the time, she can be caught on the train with her nose in a book sporting a cheeky grin because the main characters finally get their happily-ever-after at the end. She loves reading about happy endings but has more fun writing them.
