They say time heals all wounds. And maybe they’re right. But what about wounds no one sees? The kind that open again and again? The kind that have you feeling like you swallowed glass?

Those are the wounds I carry. Years of heartbreak have created layer after layer of scar tissue over my whimpering heart.

Everywhere I go, I play the part of rock star, shameless with my cocky attitude and salacious smirks. I deserve an award for how well I can fake being happy.

But then everything changes in my life—again.
Turns out they were right.

After all I’ve been through, I discover my heart can mend itself after all.

Even in the wake of tragedy, the tiny fragments of my heart are fusing back together.

What’s the magic elixir? In my case it turns out to be a stunning beauty with bouncy, caramel waves, a smile that has me forgetting my name, and crystal-blue eyes just like mine.

4 Heart Review by Ashley

I was so scared going into this book. With everything that A.M. Madden had put Trey through up until this point, I thought my heart was going to wrecked once again. And I was right, but not in the way I was thinking.

I loved seeing this version of Trey. Laughing, smiling, telling his silly and sometimes inappropriate jokes. He was enjoying life with a lightness that he hadn't since everything that happened with Tara. And it was all in thanks to the bombshell that Camilla dropped in his lap.

His instinct to protect and nurture came out in full force. I loved how he battled for what he wanted. His instincts didn't steer him wrong and seeing him with Alivia damn near melted my heart. That's not to say he didn't struggle, he did. He got inside his head and had to find his way out more than once. But he did it and not just for himself. There was more on the line this time around.

A.M. Madden drop kicked me right in the feels with Trey. I've been with the band since the beginning. Through tours and tragedy, tears and triumph and I was so glad that Trey finally got the ending he deserved. The way he fought for himself and the future he wanted, shows what a warrior he is. And that ending...perfect, no encore needed.
