Tyrant (King #2) by T.M. Frazier

I. Remember. Everything.

Only now I wish I didn't.

When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself.

But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I'm more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King's bed.

Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know.

I will put the lives of those I love most at risk if I let on that my memory has returned, or if I seek help from the heavily tattooed felon who owns me body and soul.

I don't know if I'm strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.

He's already saved me in more ways than one. Now it's my turn to do whatever it takes to save him.

Even if that means marrying someone else...

Review by Ashley

I'm not exactly sure what all I can say about Tyrant without giving too much away. But hold onto your hair because this is a wild and twisted ride. T.M. Frazier really went for it and it paid off. I truly could not put this one down. It was gripping, all consuming, heart-pounding and breath taking all at the same time.

Thank goodness this picks up right where King left off because the way that one ended was the catalyst for everything that happens in this book. Doe (aka Ramie/Ray) has been returned to her home and King has been arrested for her kidnapping. His plan to trade one woman he loves for the other love of his life has backfired, he has be double crossed. And that is where the first twist comes in, yes in the first chapter. All is not as it seems and King has to make some adjustments and lay out some plans. And what a plan it is...Too bad danger is waiting for him around every corner.

While King is busy making his moves behind the scenes, Doe is caught up in the waiting game. She is waiting for pieces of her memory to come back to her and to settle back into the life she once had. However, she knows that where she is now isn't where she needs or wants to be. So she starts to make her own plans. Oh what a tangled web she wove, if only her and King would've just found a way to talk to one another. BUT when one memory sparks in her mind all hell breaks loose. It was completely unexpected and wonderfully sinister. I won't say anything else about it except that you're going to need to practice you're deep breathing. Because there is fear, real fear and everyone involved experiences it at some point or another. T.M. Frazier really went for it and it paid off.

Gah! I could just go on and on and on about all the marvelousness that is Tyrant but I won't because you need to go read it! But read King first because this book can not be read as a standalone. It is the second book in a series and it has to be read in order otherwise you will be completely lost. My emotions were all over the place- there was fear and anxiety, hope and joy, laughter and tears and....pancakes. This was the very first series I have read from T.M. Frazier but it most definitely won't be the last. Her writing just blew me away. I loved both King and Doe. Individually, they were great characters but together, they were so much more. I liked seeing big, bad alpha King being tender and sweet with Doe. It was nice seeing this side to him that even he didn't know existed. I really loved Doe coming into her own. She fused the two versions of herself into who she wanted to be. What's more is that she did it for herself, not her father or King. Oh, and that ending was absolutely, 127% perfectly Doe and King

About T.M. Frazier

T.M. Frazier resides in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and baby girl.

In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents although her spelling could have (and could still) use some help.

It only took her twenty years to start the next book.

The Dark Light of Day was her debut novel.

She LOVES talking books with her readers.
