Ari Daniels didn’t count on her whole world tumbling down around her in a mess of shredded promises, broken love, and unbelievable heartbreak. Alone and stricken with grief, she shouldered the blame and eventually closed her heart off, refusing to open it for another.  After all, anytime she tried, guilt and regret were waiting in the wings to remind her how painful it was.

A bet and one steamy night with a stranger force Ari to confront all she’s been hiding behind.  She tries to move on, but he refuses to stand down, wanting what she is terrified to give—herself.  This man may very well destroy her in the end, especially when it’s clear he has his own demons.

What happens when two broken souls come together, finally allowing themselves to believe in the beauty of love … only to have to fight harder than ever to keep it.

4.5 Star Review by Ashley

Yes, yes three thousand times YES! This is the Harper Sloan writing that I love and can't get enough of. Alpha. Twisted. Dangerous. Tragic. SEXY. GAH! From the first page of Unconscious Hearts I was invested in Ari's story.

I loved how wonderfully flawed and human both Ari and Thron were. Life had been quite unkind to them and the way they were living reflected the tragedies that shaped their pasts. But goodness me when they were together it was electric. The sparks flew and so did the feelings. It was on another level for the both of them and quite frankly, they weren't sure what to do about it. The one thing they did know, however, was that they wanted to explore it; together.

I love how Thorn lifted Ari up. Made her soar and smile. She did the same for him. She brought light into his life. But it seemed the demons of Ari's past just wouldn't let her be, let her enjoy her new beautiful life with Thorn. It kept popping up at the most inconvenient of times to send her spiraling back down. Thorn wasn't having it- oh no. Bring on the alpha. The way he laid down the law was scary and sexy all at the same time.

I knew something big was coming, I could feel it. But I didn't quite expect things to play out how they did. My heart was racing and breaking right along with Ari and Thorn's as everything came to a head as the truth that Ari thought she knew came crashing down all around her. The climax was intense my stomach was a riot of nerves. A fifty pound weight was lifted off my chest when everything ended just how it should. The love and life that Thorn and Ari found was hard earned and fought for even harder and in the end, that made it all the more beautiful.
